If you ever had a system crash then CheckDrive is for you. CheckDrive offers you an easy way to check your hard drives for errors. CheckDrive may detect and fix hard drive errors that might appear on system crashes or when switching off your PC without a proper Windows shutdown. CheckDrive detects the current fragmentation status of the hard drives and shows the amount of garbage on the disks. The new version additionally shows the S.M.A.R.T. data and calculates a health status from it. Furthermore the Background Guard informs you about errors, immediately after they occur. Since version 2012 you have the option to visualize the usage of your hard drives with the FolderVisualizer module which analyzes your disk drives and shows you exactly which files and folders need most space on your disk. It can even create lists of the top-100 space using files as well as statistics and charts about different file types on your drive. The FolderVisualizer can be launched directly when already installed on the PC. From version 2013 on more detailed information about the drive including the manufacturer logo will be displayed. NEW in version 2014: Automatic Verification: CheckDrive can automatically check the hard drive(s) upon request. Using the integrated task scheduler, you can set the check interval and simultaneously activate the task. All with just one click.
